Course Description

Overview

The EdHat IHD Level 5 in Computing is designed to provide opportunities for learners to apply their knowledge and practical skills for the ICT industry. This course is strategically designed to provide progression into a career in the ICT on achieving the EdHat IHD Level 5 in computing award or following further study to degree level.

Entry Requirements

Programs of EdHat International Higher Diploma are designed particularly for those students who have recently been in education with an entry profile as follows:

Relevant NQF Level 3 qualifications or

  • An access to Higher Education certificate awarded by an approved Further Education institution or equivalent.
  • EdHat International Higher Diploma programs may also be accessed by those with previous relevant learning and/or work experience. In such cases the entry profile may include:
  • Accreditation of Prior Certified Learning (APCL) which gives recognition to learning which has been formally assessed and for which a certificate has been awarded other than those listed above; or
  • Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) which gives recognition to knowledge and skills developed through different types of experience, such as work and voluntary activities. Mature students may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience.
